The Test Engineering Coordinator job itself where you will support the Environmental Test Manager in facilitating the timely delivery of testing activities through careful planning, resource management and utilisation. This will extend to supporting the sourcing and management of suitable third-party test facilities where required by the business. The post holder will work closely with all teams within the department, and external stakeholders in Programmes to ensure work is completed at the right time and in the right order (prioritisation) by using project planning and work scheduling tools. They will collect, analyse and present data to inform the managers on performance and make recommendations for improvement.
Produce work plans and coordinate the activities of ET personnel and equipment in order to support the testing needs of the business and its Customers. This includes short-term detailed planning (up to two weeks), medium term (up to 6 months), and long term (6 month +). Keep management informed through the collation of performance data for the ET team to identify test conduct problems and use this knowledge to introduce improvement activities to remove /bottlenecks, drive down test delays and errors
To support continuous improvement in the accuracy of cost estimates supplied for departmental activities through the historical evaluation of project spend and review of records of test misconduct and error Offering planning support to the group and associated functions throughout product verification and validation activities Promote understanding and adherence to the rules of the Company Project Management System to ensure that the data extracted from the PMS, within the limits of the ET department’s sphere of influence, is accurate and ultimately reliable
To undertake business travel abroad or in the UK as and when required in support of the ET function. Identify and propose process improvements and equipment investments which will assist in maintaining / expanding the capability of the group

You will have
To be successful as Test Engineering Coordinator you will have a good mix of the following:
Experience of coordinating the work of personnel and the utilisation of equipment within a test department or similar environment Experience of working as a planner / scheduler within an environmental test house An effective communicator with a clear ability to align the goals of a team to achieve a common outcome within an agreed time frame Knowledge of supplier contracts and supplier management A proactive planner with clarity of thought to determine the best use of resources and to respond positively to changing circumstances.
Superior IT skills with advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and experience of using project management tools and scheduling software.
