The Technical Trainer / Technical Instructor job itself where you will become the subject matter expert responsible for delivering engaging, practical training on highly engineered aerospace products to maintenance personnel and customer organisations.
This is far more than a classroom-based training role. You'll combine technical expertise, practical demonstrations and customer interaction whilst continually improving training materials and helping maintain the highest standards of product support. Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver technical training courses at company facilities and customer sites across the UK & Europe
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, practical exercises and assessments
- Manage day-to-day course administration and post-course reporting
- Maintain training equipment, tooling and support hardware
- Develop and continuously improve training materials and instructional methods
- Design new course content where required
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers
- Support wider engineering activities including field service and technical investigations where appropriate

You will have
To be successful as a Technical Trainer / Technical Instructor, you will have a good mix of the following:
- Aerospace engineering background gained within civil or military aviation
- Strong hands-on engineering and maintenance experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience using engineering tools and test equipment
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Confident delivering technical information to engineers and customers
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail and professional standards
- HNC in Engineering or equivalent practical engineering experience
- Training or instructional qualification (DIT, PTLLS, EAT Level 3 or similar) advantageous
