The Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Technician role itself is an engaging position within a thriving manufacturing environment. You’ll be instrumental in running and maintaining the SMT production line, ensuring smooth operation and high standards of quality. Responsibilities include setting up, programming, and operating SMT and AOI machines, as well as profiling reflow ovens. This role offers daily variety, the chance to hone your technical skills, and be part of a team committed to continuous improvement. It’s a position where attention to detail and precision are highly valued, giving you the satisfaction of contributing directly to the production of cutting-edge electronic components.
Working hours – Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm, and Fridays from 8am to 2.30pm.
You will have
To be successful as an SMT Technician, you should possess at least 1 year of experience within an SMT production environment. A background in electronic engineering or a related field is essential. You must be competent in operating SMT machinery, familiar with printing equipment, reflow ovens, and AOI machines. Good computer literacy, reliability, conscientiousness, and a strong work ethic are key attributes. The ideal candidate will also work well within a team and be motivated to learn and refine their skills through further training if needed.

As an SMT Technician, you will enjoy a competitive salary of £30K-£34K. Working hours – Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm, and Fridays from 8am to 2.30pm.
