The Mobile HVAC Service Engineer job itself where you will be responsible for maintenance, service, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems across various locations primarily in London/South East UK. More specifically:
HVAC Maintenance and Service:
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, heating systems, ventilation units, and refrigeration systems.
- Conduct system inspections, identify potential issues, and execute repairs to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
System Installation and Upgrades:
- Install new HVAC systems and components as required, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Upgrade existing systems to enhance performance and energy efficiency.
Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, breakdowns, and inefficiencies.
- Repair or replace defective components, including motors, compressors, pumps, fans, and thermostats.
Customer Service and Communication:
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding service schedules, maintenance procedures, and system performance.
- Educate clients on proper system operation and maintenance to prevent future issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all service and maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and system conditions.
- Generate detailed service reports and provide feedback to the Service Manager for continuous improvement.
Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the proper handling and disposal of refrigerants and hazardous materials.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Mobile Operations:
- Travel to various client locations to provide on-site service and maintenance.
- Manage a company-provided vehicle and ensure it is stocked with necessary tools and parts.
You will have
To be successful as Energy Project Manager you will have a healthy mix of the following:
- Knowledge in mechanical services, HVAC, plumbing, Domestic services & BMS Controls.
- HVAC plant knowledge.
- H & S Accreditation (CSCS Card or equivalent)
- IT Literate with experience of MS Office Products, Google Cloud.
- Relevant technical qualification in HVAC, Refrigeration, plumbing, Domestic services & BMS Controls or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HVAC service and maintenance, with a strong emphasis on multi-skilled capabilities.
- Valid HVAC certifications (e.g., EPA 608, F-Gas certification) and a valid driver's license.
- Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HVAC systems. Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks requiring physical exertion.
