The Senior Planner job itself where you will play a key role in supporting large-scale construction projects, requiring expertise in scheduling, risk analysis, and technical planning.
More specifically:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Ensure adherence to schedule quality metrics and best practices.
- Conduct quantitative schedule risk analysis to identify potential project delays and develop mitigation strategies.
- Act as a technical expert on planning and scheduling matters, providing guidance and support to project teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate project requirements into scheduling activities.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying deviations from plans and recommending corrective actions.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations as a subject matter expert on project scheduling.
NB 3 days per week required on-site in Reading during this flagship project.
You will have
To be successful as Senior Planner, you will have a good understanding of NEC contracts, Primavera P6 software, and quantitative schedule risk analysis methodologies. Plus, a healthy mix of the following:
- Eligibility for SC clearance, or ability to obtain clearance.
- Extensive experience in planning and scheduling for large construction projects.
- Proficiency in NEC contracts and Primavera P6 software.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in quantitative schedule risk analysis.
- Relevant degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Membership in a relevant professional body such as APM (Association for Project Management) is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating effectively.
