The Senior Planner job itself where you will play a key role in supporting large-scale construction projects, requiring expertise in scheduling, risk analysis, and technical planning.

More specifically:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Ensure adherence to schedule quality metrics and best practices.
  • Conduct quantitative schedule risk analysis to identify potential project delays and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Act as a technical expert on planning and scheduling matters, providing guidance and support to project teams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate project requirements into scheduling activities.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying deviations from plans and recommending corrective actions.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations as a subject matter expert on project scheduling.

NB 3 days per week required on-site in Reading during this flagship project.

You will have

To be successful as Senior Planner, you will have a good understanding of NEC contracts, Primavera P6 software, and quantitative schedule risk analysis methodologies. Plus, a healthy mix of the following:

  • Eligibility for SC clearance, or ability to obtain clearance.
  • Extensive experience in planning and scheduling for large construction projects.
  • Proficiency in NEC contracts and Primavera P6 software.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in quantitative schedule risk analysis.
  • Relevant degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body such as APM (Association for Project Management) is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing and collaborating effectively.
