The Quality Assurance Supervisor/Quality Engineer job itself where you will maintain customer confidence that materials acquired from the company are according to purchase order requirements. To ensure that the purchases made by the company are correct. To ensure that the quality system is maintained and complies with regulatory authorities & various company approvals. Provide a source of knowledge to other employees with regard to Quality related matters. Undertake continuous improvement activities as directed by the Group Quality Manager.  More specifically:

  • Ensure total adherence to Company Quality Manual and procedures
  • Action Internal Quality Audits as directed by Group Quality Manager
  • Arrange for all measuring equipment to be calibrated at specified intervals
  • Conduct investigations to establish root causes
  • Follow Corrective Action (8D) Reports through to conclusion
  • Ensure configuration/change management is being adhered to
  • Assist line managers in setting up and maintaining competence and training records for all employees
  • After a complaint has been investigated to a conclusion arrange credit/collection
  • Disposition/Return to stock, liaising with Accounts and raising Vendor Discrepancy reports
  • Assist warehouse personnel with identification and traceability issues and inspect suspect materials
  • Submit company performance data to customers in line with their requirements
  • Export licensing representative for site.
  • Apply for licenses and maintain records of shipments.
  • Oversee export licensing internal audits.
  • Any other quality related tasks as assigned by the Group Quality Manager

Hours of work are 8.30 am to 5 pm Monday to Thursday and 4.30 pm finish on a Friday, working 40 hours per week

You will have                  

To be successful as a Quality Assurance Supervisor/Quality Engineer, you will have a healthy mix of the following:

  • Good standard of education – GCSE/A-Level or equivalent
  • Ideally six sigma green belt certified
  • Good knowledge of ISO9001 & AS9100 QMS Standards
  • QA experience in manufacturing setting (ideally automotive/aerospace)
  • Understanding of QA/CI tools e.g 5 why, FMEA, DMAIC etc.
  • Customer service oriented & ability to solve problems
  • Capable of producing quality & business reports
  • Strong IT skills across MS Office
