The QHSE Manager/SHEQ Manager job role itself where you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Quality Health Safety & Environmental management for the organisation. The scope of this includes large scale M&E installations at client sites throughout London & South East UK.
- To innovate and improve the way we work and keep pace with industry change.
- To ensure that the business meets its legislative and regulatory obligations.
- To identify, co-ordinate and drive improvements in QHSE
- To provide risk-based assurance that projects are compliant to group standards.
More specifically:
- Assisting the organisation to comply with all legislation and company policies especially those around quality, occupational health, safety and the environment
- Ensure the correct legislation is followed and relevant legislative and regulatory changes are implemented on time
- Meet all requirements as outlined in the QHSE Policies and its arrangements
- Provide site projects with expert QHSE advice, guidance and support
- Visit all operational sites and undertake site inspections and audits
- Undertake regular checks of the facilities to ensure that appropriate risks and opportunities have been identified and corrective actions are being implemented
- Engage and develop relationships with Clients QHSE teams
- Ensure all RAMS and Safe Systems of Work are adequate and effective, and processes are in place and up to date
- Ensure changes are managed systematically and disseminated across the workforce
- Delivering the quality, occupational health, safety and environmental management agenda in line with company policy and to the relevant standards
- Assisting in maintaining our ISO Certification to meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, and other relevant accreditations such as SSiP and the Common Assessment Standard (i.e. Constructionline Gold, Achilles BuildingConfidence, etc). and ensuring all required data is maintained and readily available
- Assist in maintaining compliance with LPS 1014 (BAFE SP201 Fire Detection and Alarm Systems) and BAFE SP207 (Evacuation Alert Systems)
- Provide expert support to investigate accidents, incidents and near miss events and identify lessons learned and identify actions to prevent reoccurrence
- Produce formal reports for planned and unplanned inspections which review performance against Company and Client standards
- Record, collate and interpret quality, occupational health, safety and environmental management performance data including close out of inspection and accident investigation reports, and provide management reports on a routine basis
- Be an active member during Committee meetings and Management Review meetings
- Delivering Continual Improvement in our Integrated Management Systems
- Embed a culture where health is treated like safety
- Maintain and develop wider skills and knowledge through continual professional development and self-reflection
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 08.30 – 17.30
You will have
To be successful as QHSE Manager/SHEQ Manager, you will have a healthy mix of the following:
Essential
- NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
- Significant quality, occupational health, safety and environmental management experience of the Electrical, Fire and Building Energy Management Systems industry
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to produce formal reports and KPIs
- Demonstrable record of performance, productivity and service delivery
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of all the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) applicable guidance
- GCSE (or equivalent) maths and English qualifications
- Full Driving Licence
Desirable
- IOSH Membership (Tech IOSH)
- ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 implementation and internal auditing
- Train the Trainer
- Award in Education and Training
- NEBOSH Diploma or Equivalent
- Accident Investigation
- IEMA Foundation certificate, or equivalent
