This is a senior Operations Manager / Manufacturing Manager opportunity with a successful business providing integrated manufacturing, fabrication, supply chain and distribution solutions to a diverse client base.

The Operations Manager role itself, reporting to the Operations Director, where you will lead day-to-day operational activities across multiple sites.

You will take ownership of operational performance, ensuring manufacturing and associated operations are safe, efficient, compliant, cost-effective and profitable.

As Operations Manager, you will:

• Lead day-to-day manufacturing and operational activities across multiple sites
• Take ownership of end-to-end production and operational performance
• Develop and execute effective production plans and schedules
• Coordinate internal manufacturing capacity and external suppliers
• Ensure projects and customer requirements are delivered on time and within budget
• Oversee supply chain, procurement, inventory, WIP and finished goods
• Drive quality standards and operational compliance
• Manage departmental budgets, forecasting, costs, KPIs and reporting
• Improve labour, machinery and resource utilisation
• Champion Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and operational efficiency
• Promote a strong Health & Safety culture and HSE compliance
• Recruit, lead, coach and develop operational and production teams

You will have

To succeed as Operations Manager / Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will be an experienced operational leader from a manufacturing, engineering, fabrication or similarly demanding production environment.  You will ideally have:

• Proven Operations Management or senior manufacturing leadership experience
• Strong manufacturing, production or fabrication knowledge
• Experience leading busy, multi-process operations
• Excellent people leadership and team development skills
• Strong production planning and organisational capability
• Supply chain, logistics and inventory management exposure
• Solid project management skills
• Experience of budgeting, forecasting, KPI management and reporting
• Strong understanding of quality, compliance and Health & Safety
• Track record of improving productivity, efficiency and operational performance
• Practical, hands-on leadership style with strong commercial awareness
