The Shift Maintenance Engineer/Site Maintenance Engineer role itself where you will be at the heart of ensuring operational excellence. You'll provide essential engineering support through planned maintenance, rapid response to breakdowns, and remedial works to keep site equipment and buildings running smoothly. With this position, you'll play a vital role in maintaining safety and reliability across the site, working either on a permanent day or night shift. You will have

To be successful as a Shift Maintenance Engineer/Site Maintenance Engineer, you will have a healthy mix of the following:

  • Recognised engineering qualification, such as ONC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer with a mechanical focus, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical skills, with knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC, and steam systems.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new IT systems, including CMMS software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach.
  • Capacity to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including permanent night shifts if required.
  • Commitment to adhering to health and safety standards

You will get

As a Shift Maintenance Engineer, you'll enjoy a competitive annual salary in the range of £40,000 to £49,950, depending on your experience and qualifications.

The role offers 28 days holiday per annum, plus additional hours or days by agreement.

The company also provides a structured shift pattern with 12-hour shifts, 3-4 days PW as fixed night or day shifts.
