The Estimator job opportunity itself from Poole, Dorset office and working in close conjunction with our Senior Estimators, you will be responsible for undertaking all aspects of pricing enquiries up to £10m. More specifically:
- Working alongside Bid Manager and other Estimators to ensure a complete tender return.
- Processing enquiries from small works up to £10 million and ensuring these are returned on time and at the right price.
- Using Estimating software – currently Causeway – to produce detailed estimates that can be used by staff throughout the job.
- Visiting potential clients, surveying work, and producing priced schedules so that clear concise documents are available once we win the work, ensuring you have an understanding of client needs / restrictions when visiting.
- Being able to present tender bids for adjudication.
- Producing RFIs from tender information for clients’ professional teams

You will have
To be successful as Estimator you will be an experienced construction estimator with a healthy mix of the following.
- Experienced in the field of construction.
- A HNC or above is desirable but not essential.
- A strong communicator and team player.
- Able to manage a busy workload and several tenders at once.
- Be dynamic, innovative, and able to work on one’s own initiative.
- A strong communicator and team player
- Able to understand 2D and 3D drawings.
- Good working knowledge of SMM7/NRM.
Plus knowledge of Causeway estimating software package and Microsoft Project (or similar programmes) would be desirable
