You will like

The CNC Setter Operator role itself, where you will be responsible for setting and operating Fanuc Controlled Fixed Head Turning CNC machinery. You’ll carry out complete set-ups following process and tooling layouts, produce first-off components to exact specifications, and prepare tooling for seamless production runs. Your tasks will include updating tooling and process information, managing machine tooling during production, and ensuring high standards of quality at all times. This is a hands-on role that values attention to detail, proactive problem-solving, and efficient workflow management.

You will have

To succeed as a CNC Setter Operator, you should have a strong background in CNC machining and fixed head turning, with experience in setting multi-spindle and multi-turret CNC turning centres, including live tooling. You’ll need an excellent understanding of NC programs, materials, tooling geometry, and cutting data. Strong communication skills, a good eye for detail, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Ideally, you’ll be familiar with inspection methods, measurement devices, and continuous improvement practices. A proactive and organised mindset will help you thrive in this role. PS Additional skills in CAD/CAM or programming Fanuc would be desirable.

You will get

As a CNC Setter Operator, you’ll enjoy a competitive hourly rate of £19 to £22, translating to an annual salary of £37,500 to £43,500.

Working Monday to Thursday from 6am to 4pm, you’ll benefit from a steady, predictable schedule in a supportive environment.
