The Mechanical Revit/BIM/CAD Engineer job itself where you will be engaged in producing typical Contract drawings in Revit & or 2D CAD
Scope includes Incoming Services trenching details, Heating, Air-conditioning, CHW, Mechanical Ventilation, Natural Ventilation, Domestic H&CWS, Cat 5 services, specialist gases, Compressed air, LEV, Fume Cupboard Extract Ventilation, Above ground drainage etc supporting our design department in this process. More specifically:
- Creating supporting 2D CAD drawings in the form of Schematics for all of the above services, provide sectional building plant details & elevation drawings to identify louvre & flue arrangements etc.
- Liaise with the design team to ensure all drawing equipment has supporting equipment schedules embedded into the drawings before issue.
- Producing, coordinating and dimensioning up Builderswork bases, penetrations, pop-up for incoming services, drainage sumps and the like
- Assist in populating design information equipment schedules for incorporation into our drawings.
You will have
To be successful as a Mechanical Revit/BIM/CAD Engineer here, you will be an experienced CAD / Revit Engineer proficient in the use of CAD/Revit with previous experience in a Building Services M&E.
- Experience in populating 2D philosophy, concept M&E Drawings in 2D CAD, Revit/BIM from Stage 3 to 6 Design Levels.
- Experience in View Templates or Worksets.
- Experience in using BIM360 or ACC
- An understanding of a BEP (BIM execution plan)
- An understanding of the different BIM Levels and COBie requirements including implementation
- An understanding of clash detection and its use and collaborating with other members of the design team to overcome potential issues.
- Perform clash detection and resolution using Revit to identify and mitigate design conflicts early in the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with the design team to integrate Revit models with architectural and structural models, ensuring accurate and clash-free coordination.
- An understanding of families and how these are created and which websites to use for the respective families and developing Revit families and libraries
