Working a mix of working from home #WFH and Office anywhere in the uK for this independent Design and Planning Consultancy within their established EIA and Planning Team. This forward-thinking firm is involved in some of the UK’s most significant and exciting development projects, ranging from nationally significant transport and energy infrastructure through to new settlements, urban regeneration and the design of internationally recognised public spaces.

The EIA Coordinator role itself offered at a Senior or principal level, where you will join one of the UK's leading independent Design and Planning Consultancy organisations and take on a key role a key role within their established EIA team.  In this exciting role, you will be well supported in the development of both your technical and professional skills.

You will provide input into and author reports at all stages of the EIA process, from EIA screening through to the preparation of Environmental Statements, as well as post-submission material.  There will also be opportunities to provide environmental leadership alongside my client’s master planners and planners.

Location: UK Flexible; London, Bristol, Cambridge, Exeter, Glasgow, Manchester, Oxford, Peterborough

Significant scope for flexible working, working from home, including part-time options available.

 

You will have

To be successful as Senior EIA Coordinator, you will have an excellent understanding of EIA requirements, with experience as an EIA Co-ordinator/project manager along with a good awareness of the planning process.  Ideally, you will have upwards of 5 years’ experience of working in a similar type of role.

You will also be a team player with excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues, co-consultants and clients.  You will have a passion for context-led design and will be expected to apply your understanding of a range of social and environmental drivers to achieving well planned and designed developments at all scales.

More specifically:

  • Experience of leading and coordinating EIA projects.
  • Experience of working with clients and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience of managing sub-consultants.
  • Experience of GIS, graphics software and/or AutoCAD is also desirable.
