The Sales Manager job itself acting as Regional Sales Manager to manage and increase uptake of their highly successful and long-established custom manufacturing and fabrication abilities. Their established product mix includes both high-use, mid-volume runs, along with speciality custom manufacturing for use in the agriculture equipment manufacturing stream. Reporting directly to the GM, you will be responsible for overall sales strategy for a defined region, including technical sales, new client prospecting and established client supervision.

More specifically:

  • Must work closely with all department managers to cultivate a cooperative environment
  • Must work closely with all direct reports, in a hands-on fashion, to ensure awareness of all current activities and issues
  • Monitor and grow existing agricultural customer base wherever possible
  • Attract new agricultural equipment customers within their respective geographical marketplace
  • Attract new industrial customers within their respective geographical marketplace that ‘fit’ our internal capabilities
  • Achieve organizations sales goals
  • Achieve sales and marketing cost budgets
  • Manage the preparation of quotations and authorizations
  • Recommend credit levels and payment terms of new accounts
  • Suspend unmanageable accounts on the advice of the General Manager and or Controller
  • Assist in the creation of annual sales budgets
  • Monitor performance against sales-related KPI’s
  • Assist in creating new marketing initiatives
  • Approve annual review of adjustments to part number re-order points and build quantities
  • Make recommendations on potential new product offerings
  • Maintain profit margins on each product
  • Monitor customer satisfaction
  • Plan the development of new territories
  • Plan the development of new market sectors
  • Attend and participate in management meetings
  • Determine financing, pricing and payment terms
  • Conduct ongoing strategic level communication with the sales team members
  • Actively participate in all relative industry associations and groups
  • Attend industry trade shows/conferences
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the General Manager and or Director of Business Development
  • Ensure all tasks are performed with the highest regard for safety, as outlined in our Safety Manual
  • Ensure quality, as outlined in our Quality Manual, is inherent in all tasks performed

You will have

To be successful as Sales Manager you will have

  • Minimum of 5 years sales and marketing experience
  • Minimum of 5 years industrial sales or ag-industry experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales management experience
  • Above-average interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive and co-operative team player
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to inspire confidence from supervisors, peers and subordinates
  • Ability to understand common CRM’s systems an asset
  • A University Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Commerce, or related fields, will be an asset
