The Remediation Site Manager job, which is a great opportunity for a qualified specialist to join their existing team based from their Bristol or Raleigh office working on projects based across the South West or South East respectively. Primary responsibilities are:

  • Input to planning programmes and phasing works, including forward planning of site works and identifying resources needed to deliver this
  • Input to planning and ordering of plant, labour and equipment
  • Input to method statements (not necessarily drafting them)
  • Directing / organising site operatives to ensure site works are carried out safely
  • Directing plant in a cost effective and safe manner
  • Ensuring site records are kept up to date (daily site logs, inspection registers etc.)
  • Implementing environmental control measures where required
  • Management of operational aspects to ensure remedial objectives are met with support from the project Remediation Engineers
  • Ensuring geotechnical / earthworks specifications are met during backfilling / compact / reinstatement with support from the project Remediation Engineers
  • Attendance at site progress meetings

 

You will have

To be successful as Remediation Site Manager you will have relevant site management experience in either earthworks / contaminated land remediation / civil engineering / groundworks / waste management / demolition.

A valid driving licence is essential as the role will involve some travel (a vehicle can be provided if desired).

Key personal attributes are good communication, a team player, organisation, resolve, flexibility and ambition.
