The Reliability Engineer job (Leicestershire, OR Derbyshire, England, UK) itself, where irrespective of site, your focus will be the same; to deliver world-class service in a fast-paced environment.
To manage assets through their entire life-cycle supporting safety, performance, risk-consequence management and total cost of ownership. Define equipment criticality in relation to safety, productivity and quality impact supporting the prioritisation and selection of appropriate asset care strategies and tactics. Develop and manage the programme of equipment inspection and repair whilst effectively supporting the engineering team to achieve target requirements in safety, production output, quality and cost.
Working closely with the Planner/Scheduler to identify and rectify issues whilst improving the standards of the department and maintaining high standards within Environment, Health & Safety, Housekeeping, Performance, Waste, Communication and Continuous Improvement. To support the Engineering Manager to deliver the Key Objectives and KPI’s for Operations
Key tasks include the smooth running of the Asset care requirements. You will be responsible for the development and ongoing update of the preventive and predictive maintenance program to meaningful analysis and reporting of reliability-related matters.
To continually develop an environment that promotes constructive involvement and engagement for the Engineering team. The engineering team is key to the success and continued improvement of site operations.
You will have
To be successful as Reliability Engineer you will have a healthy mix of the following:
- Minimum HNC/HND qualification in an Engineering discipline
- 3-5 years experience in engineering production support
- Ideally educated to Engineering degree level or alternatively HNC/HND level
- An extensive background in an Engineering discipline (mechanical/electrical)
- Evidence of continuous learning and development during career
- Knowledge of manufacturing environment continuous improvement methodologies.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft/Excel and ideally SAP systems
