The QHSE Manager job itself where you will be responsible for
- Maintenance of IMS (9001,14001,45001, FPC, 3834)
- Internal audits in line with audit schedule
- Annual reports and reviews
- Policy statements – produce, review and re-issue
- External SCCS audits (6 -monthly, min 3 days per audit) plus time to complete any work to close out NCR’s or observations raised
- Amendments to system
- Risk assessments – identify, produce and review
- Work Procedures
- COSHH Assessments
- Monitor and react to NCR reports
- Accident/incident investigations
- Maintenance & Calibration – monitor, check, react to items requiring action
- Statutory Inspections
- Occupational Health, Book, organise and action any outcomes
- Statutory compliance with fire regulations and first aid requirements
- Paint ‘quality control – DFT’s paint reports, dew meter readings
- Monitor and report solvent usage to ensure within statutory limits
- Monitor and maintain waste streams and ensure all statutory documentation received and maintained.
- Approved suppliers/Approved sub-contractors – Paper review of questionnaire or audit visits (we probably do not do enough of this)
- Ensure compliance with Contract specification and NSSS requirements via Customer review meetings
Training
- Monitor training matrix for each area of business
- Organise training and refresher training
- Maintain training records
- Manage CSCS, CPCS & IPAF compliance for site teams
- React to changing training/accreditation requirements of Principal contractors
PPE
- Identify correct standard of all PPE
- Purchase
- Ensure correct usage
- Monitor changing PPE requirements of Principal Contractors
- Issue and check all harness and lanyards – maintain a register
SITE
- Visits and reports
- React to any quality/safety issues raised by Principal Contractors
- Collate and issue Lifting equipment statutory inspection paperwork to site team leaders
- Security requirements/Vetting
Location: Bridgwater/Weston Super Mare area plus regional travel.
You will have
To be successful as the QHSE Manager you will have experience in construction or manufacturing sectors with a healthy mix of the following:
- NEBOSH qualified or working towards this qualification
- Experience in construction or manufacturing
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and strategic skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to work under pressure
