Working for a leading manufacturing facility based in Windsor, ON, Canada for this specialty manufacturer and installer of building and engineering products with forward-thinking management.

You will like

The Project Manager job itself where you will be the liaison between the customer and the site project managers responsible for exceeding quality expectations and timely completion of projects. The PM will lead, manage and coordinate the project process from award to postproduction. More specifically:

• Daily communication with the fabrication team, design team and customers
• Document using Project Tracker, Production Log and Delivery Schedule
• Participate in launch meetings, prepare schedules of values and track project progress
• Prepare reports pertaining to labour, materials, cost, etc. and provide daily updates to the 4-month production forecasts
• Provide input on project coordination and execution; assist with problem-solving
• Suggest ways to improve the budget and cut costs; suggest ideas for continuous improvement
• Responsible to deliver projects on schedule and budget from initial development through to completion
• Order glass and special outsourced products and submit requests for quotes back to the estimator
• Coordinate drawing revisions and sample submittals for paint colour, glass and special products as the job requires

You will have

To be successful as the Project Manager, you will have 

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a project manager in the construction/manufacturing industry preferred
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Architectural or Construction Engineering, Construction Management preferred
• Attention to detail, have good judgment and analytical skills
• The ability to travel within Ontario when required
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build solid partnerships
• Knowledge of building products and familiarity with building codes, and quality standards in the construction industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite and project management software, AutoCAD/Solidworks preferred
• Ability to communicate professionally, verbally, and in writing, with team members and customers
• Able to work well independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
