The Project Manager job itself where you will be responsible for planning & delivering major structural steel installation projects primarily in the West Midlands region. This role will suit a versatile full-scope Construction Manager to undertake Site Manager and Project Manager duties, plus some Quantity Surveyor aspects. More specifically:
- Planning & keeping to programme
- Procurement e.g. Crane Hire
- Contract management e.g. variations
- Cost management/QS (with HQ support)
- Weekly site visits (Team Leader on site)
- Site HSQE compliance (with HQ support)
- Client Management/Account Management
- Ongoing Risk Management
Location: Home based in Birmingham/West Midlands and working from sites in Midlands and occasional national travel.
You will have
To be successful as the Project Manager you will have experience in construction or manufacturing sectors with a healthy mix of the following:
- SMSTS & CSCS Card & First Aid certificate
- Ideally AP (Appointed Person) for lifting operations
- Ideally sector-specific experience in steel
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Good, self sufficient IT skills
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Full UK driving license
