The Production Planner job itself where you will create factory production plans to ensure product availability for MTS (Make-To-Stock) / MTO (Made-To-Order) items to fulfil customer demands within stipulated lead times. Maintain Master data on the Master Plan. Maintain master data in SAP, support on product portfolio adjustments. Plus process optimisation and reporting.  More specifically:

  • Create production schedules that ensures goods manufactured are produced in a cost-effective way whilst maintaining optimum plant efficiencies
  • Makes sure that goods are ready to distribute to customers in a timely fashion
  • Reviews line capacity and efficiency to maximise line running whilst working within operational constraints
  • Ensures the production and distribution of products in a timely fashion
  • Accurately controls Finished Goods Material stock levels at Warehouses, keeping the cost of holding stock to a minimum, whilst still enabling us to be able to meet and supply customer demand
  • The jobholder is a key member of the Production Planning/Materials Management team ensuring an efficient service level is maintained in line with the customer’s and company’s expectations
  • You will ensure that practices are carried out in line with the company agreement promoting good industrial relations and work within a flexible team-based approach

You will have                  

To be successful as a Production Planner you will have a healthy mix of the following:

  • Experience in a Production Planning role, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical background, ability to manage a wide scope of activities, yet awareness of the critical details per product/customer
  • Expertise in End-to-end Planning covering Sales & Order Processing, Production Planning, Inventory planning, Material Scheduling, Production Scheduling, Sales Forecasting, Capacity Planning, Capacity Modelling, Factory Line Performance, KPIs and Inventory Management
  • Advanced Excel
  • SAP knowledge (or similar) is desirable
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills

You will get

As a Production Planner you will enjoy a competitive salary £40K-£45k as a direct interim contractor and/or permanent employee basis.
