Trainee Operator/Maintenance Technician
Salary package £32,000 increasing on completion of training; occasional paid overtime; discretionary bonus of 10% per annum. Pension. Annual leave of 30 days (increasing with each years’ completed service) including bank holidays; working hours Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm
What you will do as Trainee Operator/Maintenance Technician
Work as part of a customer-facing team, on some well-known customer sites across the UK, mainly in the energy, biomass, and waste sectors. Report to a Team Leader, you will be fully trained, provided with all the relevant safety equipment, and work to precise instructions to ensure our processes and services are carried out safely and correctly. You may come from an engineering or maintenance background, but we will be flexible since a comprehensive training programme will ensure you are off to the best start.
As Trainee Operator/Maintenance Technician, you will:

Work as part of a team, to deliver essential specialist plant and equipment maintenance services.

Comply with instructions to ensure client requirements are carried out efficiently, in line with operational procedures

Follow procedures and processes for the receipt, storage, transportation and use of tools and equipment, to ensure reliable stock control and accurate equipment inventory records

Adhere to Health & Safety standards at all times both on and off site; keeping work areas clean and tidy, identifying and reporting any potential hazards

Carry out equipment maintenance tasks and general duties as directed

Driving license (in order to occasionally drive the company vans)

Ability to travel with your team, staying overnight in hotels (fully expensed accommodation, meal allowance etc.) – averaging 2 or 3 nights a week
