The Membership Services Assistant job itself where you will assist with the smooth and efficient delivery of Membership Services. More specifically:
• Receiving, responding, and satisfying customer enquiries and requests by email, telephone, web or in person • Timely processing of publication orders, through to despatch, in line with business delivery targets • Invoicing and supporting day-to-day book sales and library loan services • Regular maintenance and update of records on the CRM system and/or any other relevant in-house software • Responding to member enquiries of bookshop orders by phone for the membership department as necessary • Cataloguing, classifying and collating library entries • Maintaining departmental public access areas and displays, ensuring materials are stored and orderly throughout the Information centre Membership Services • Arrange and set up training/meeting rooms to support the delivery of training on-site • Assemble training materials and delegate packs as required • Support onsite training, receiving of delegates, refreshments and catering requirements • Contribute to the successful administration and delivery of wider Membership Services department • Support other colleagues during periods of high demand • Maintain a good working relationship with all departments • Undertake activities in accordance with the quality procedures and ISO 9001:2015
This is an office-based role (Bracknell or Preston) working 37 hours per week, Mon – Thursday 8.30 am-5 pm and on Friday 8.30 am-4.30 pm.
You will have
To be successful as a Membership Services Assistant you will have a healthy mix of the following:
• Experience in an information environment (desirable) • Good verbal and written skills • Good attention to detail • Excellent customer service skills • Good communication and team working skills • Computer literate, with experience of Microsoft packages • Excellent telephone manner • Confident to engage individuals at all levels • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team • Self-motivated, and willing to achieve agreed targets and timeframes • Flexible, with an adaptable approach to duties and requirements
