The Manager Design & Engineering job itself reporting directly to the President, responsible for prioritizing design, assignment, and management of Project Managers and Designers.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and develop best practices with the Design and Engineering Team
- Supervise and generate design, planning, and execution of design projects
- Generate calculations and estimates, cut-lists, and BOM’s
- Supervise and generate detailing, drawing, and approval of layouts and details
- Participate in design meetings and provide input to optimize results
- Develop design delivery schedules and optimize lead times
- Collaborate on new design ideas and research projects
- Establish goals and review performance metrics to track work accuracy
- Establish strategic plans, objectives, and priorities
You will have
To be successful as the Manager Design & Engineering, you will have
- Post-Secondary education in Engineering, Architecture, or related field of study
- Project Management knowledge
- 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience preferably in construction or related industry
- Knowledge of Solidworks and AutoCAD
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask and excellent organizational skills
- Results-oriented with the ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment
- Creative with knowledge of best in class practices and design solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
