Due to an expanding workload of innovative and interesting projects, my client is seeking an experienced Landscape Architect/Planner to join their closely knit team.  This exciting position will see you joining one of the region’s premier independent, award-winning Landscape and Ecology practices and be part of their exciting plans moving forward.

They have a fantastic, recently refurbished office close to Bristol City Centre, fitted with plenty of mod cons.  The office is a fun and relaxing environment, with ample provision for showers, secure bike storage, with car parking also available. Staff are encouraged to work flexibly and are able to work remotely 2-3 days a week should they wish.

In this role you can expect to rapidly develop your career through actively contributing to projects, from tendering through to completion.

You will be encouraged and supported to achieve chartership as well as provided with ongoing CPD activities.

You will have

To be successful as Landscape Architect or Landscape Planner you will possess sound knowledge and experience of landscape planning, in particular significant experience of leading on Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments.

You will have at least 3 years’ experience working in the private or public sector. You should also have a genuine interest in working in a multi-disciplinary environment, where ecologists and environmental planners work with the landscape team to deliver an integrated approach. More specifically:

  • Experience of delivering landscape work (LVIA, TVIA and EIA technical reports landscape strategies and masterplans).
  • Understanding and experience of working in the UK planning system.
  • A confident, positive and proactive approach.
  • Good communication skills and ability to prepare clear, concise output.
  • Excellent time and task management skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Experience of supporting on planning appeals and expert witness would be good but is not essential.
