The Financial Controller job itself where reporting to the Finance Director, you will take overall responsibility for financial accounting and internal reporting for the group and all its subsidiaries and lead, manage and develop the Finance team.
More specifically:
1. Financial reporting a. UK b. 3 small overseas entities – USA, China and France c. Work with overseas advisors d. Special projects 2. Cash a. Bank reconciliations b. Loans and overdrafts c. Banking relationships d. Collection/payment– debtor and creditor management analysis 3. Commercial responsibilities a. Legal agreements b. Banking relationships – all aspects c. IT projects - interaction 4. The team a. Developing the team/appraisals b. Deputising for the Finance Director - as appropriate 5. Taxation, VAT, National Insurance etc a. Overall management – Relationship with HMRC UK and overseas 6. Financial planning and improvement a. Financial policies and procedures b. Fixed asset register c. Budgeting - annually d. Financial reporting-quarterly e. Audit - annual 7. Financial payments a. Debtors b. Creditors and suppliers 8. Reporting a. Budgeting b. Management accounts - monthly c. Accounting records d. Revenue recognition e. Stock accounting f. Intercompany trading, revenue recognitions g. investment and project appraisals h. Board meeting attendance 9. Payroll and pensions matters
This is an office-based job with a working pattern of 37 hours per week: Mon – Thursday 8.30 am-5 pm and on Friday 8.30 am-4.30 pm
