The field service engineer job itself where due sustainable growth of this business we are recruiting for an engineer to cover the UK from Cambridge / South East. More specifically:

  • Service, calibrate and repair a range of high-quality gas analysers, gas mixers and leak detection equipment
  • Visit companies across the UK, and under more normal trading conditions, Field Service Engineers are expected to be away from home for up to 2-3 nights during a service tour week, and occasionally longer
  • This involves driving approximately 30,000 - 40,000 miles per year and when not working away at customer sites, you will be required to work in the service centre

 You will have

 To be successful as Field Service Engineer you will have the following, Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:

  • You must be qualified to ONC, or Level 3 in Electrical or Electronic Engineering and have an understanding of Mechanical Engineering
  • Wiring experience or knowledge would be an advantage
  • Full product training will be provided and tailored to your skills and previous experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for:

  • A Field Service Engineer who has had previous experience in the food industries, or with demonstrably transferable skills from another sector
  • You must be confident about working alone in the territory when fully trained and you must have:
  • Current driving licence
  • Good computer literacy. Service & calibration process is fully electronic via a PC tablet and a bespoke MS Dynamics application
  • Willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexible attitude to working away from home
  • Ability and confidence to eventually work without supervision
  • Can-do attitude
