The Facility Management Engineer job itself where you will support a wide range of technical consultancy and support services to members, and the building services industry, mainly related to the engineering aspect of Facilities Management.
More specifically:
• Support best practice in maintenance operations, maintenance strategies, schedules and audits • Support development of facilities management strategies and forward maintenance planning advice • Under supervision, undertake benchmarking activities for buildings (operation, maintenance and energy) • Under supervision, undertake assigned investigations into incorrectly performing assets • Support development of proposals to meet client needs or research objectives • Undertake site visits for bespoke site-based work • Review of project data and provision of findings in reports under supervision • Compliance with all Health and Safety requirements • Contribute to content for publications and training • Seek and promote opportunities for new work
This role’s working pattern is 37 hours per week, Mon – Thursday 8.30am-5pm and on Friday 8.30am-4.30pm This is an office based role in Bracknell (walking distance from Bracknell station).
You will have
To be successful as Facility Management Engineer you will have a healthy mix of the following:
• BTEC National Diploma or equivalent • An understanding of building construction • Good level of spoken and written English • Excellent communication skills to support client engagement • Excellent report writing skills • Time management skills • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy • Pragmatic with a flexible approach • Co-operative attitude to work colleagues • Ability to approach tasks positively with confidence and enthusiasm • Able to persevere through difficulties to complete tasks and keen to take on new challenges
