The Facilities Assistant job itself where you will provide support to the Facilities Manager in construction, repair, operations, maintenance and security of all buildings. Assist with the commissioning and removal of test rigs (mechanical and electrical).
More specifically:
• Carry out day to day facilities services including inspection and compliance measurements to ensure smooth running for the business. • Support the development of processes and facilitate enhanced performance across the entire estate. • Stay fully conversant with the operation and control of building energy management systems. • Assist with ongoing improvements to the estate. • Provide prompt response to assist with out of hours working and emergencies, as they arise. • Respond to service requests through Facilities Helpdesk. • Assist with continued conformity with ISO 9001 requirements. • Pursue continued personal development within the role, maintaining good technical and professional knowledge. • Provide support to other departments when testing various equipment. • Be designated fire marshal. • Deputise for Facilities Manager as and when required.
This role’s working pattern is 42 hours per week, 8.30 am to 6.00 pm- Monday to Thursday, and 8.30 am to 5.30 pm on Friday with a one-hour break for lunch
You will have
To be successful as Facilities Assistant you will have a healthy mix of the following:
• Experience in service delivery and facilities management. • Good practical knowledge of electrical, carpentry and plumbing skills. • Good understanding of Health & Safety. • Ability to undertake repairs of plant and equipment under supervision. • Good understanding of Quality Management (ISO 9001) policies. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Computer literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. • Full clean driving licence. • Trained/certified in Forklift, MEWP, IPAF, WAH, PASMA (desirable).
