The Engineering Support job itself where you will carry out testing and commissioning for a range of clients in the built environment. This includes assisting with the building of test rigs, using test instrumentation and assisting with the production of reports for clients. In this position, you will be working in a friendly environment as part of the Test House. More specifically:
• Be responsible for housekeeping activities in the laboratory including preparation of instrumentation, test rigs and test samples • Assist with the construction, maintenance and operation of test rigs • Assist with testing of heating, ventilation air-conditioning and refrigeration products and systems • Assist with carrying out standard laboratory, bespoke site-based investigations and physical mock-ups • Assist with reviewing test data and preparing reports • Ensure that the work of the section is properly documented and filed, complying with formal procedures • Ensure the tasks undertaken within the Section are performed efficiently and to high technical and quality levels in accordance with the required standards • Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety requirements • Seek and promote opportunities for new work • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
This role’s working pattern is 37 hours per week, Mon – Thursday 8.30am-5pm and on Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
