The Contract Manager/Operations Manager job role itself, which is a varied role splitting time between HQ in North London, client sites regionally plus remote/hybrid working from home arrangements. More specifically:
- Develop and maintain the highest levels of on-site health & safety process and control.
- Drive project & site costs to achieve or improve on budgeted levels and report variances monthly.
- To achieve on time quality assured projects
- To deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through project compliance and effective stakeholder communication
- To ensure we meet all invoice / application milestones.
- To liaise with other business areas to ensure the timely transfer of information required for the efficient running of all areas.
- To support the sales effort in pre-contract bid preparation.
- To manage allocated projects and resource in line with the PM Process Map.
- Embody the Values of Pride, Passion, Teamwork, Integrity & Dedication
- To deliver a team meeting the departmental required skills, aims & values.
- To offer support to the projects team through a wealth of CAT B Interiors fit out experience.
- Managing Subcontract Packages for Electrical, Ceilings, Partitions, Plumbing, WIFI, Security, Smoke and Fire Detection, minor building works etc.
- To be the “Senior Projects Manager” dealing with the most complex projects directly.
- Ensure Health & Safety, Quality & programme compliance
- Meeting Budget, Contribution and Cashflow targets are met.
- Stakeholder Communication to engage, inform and improve our methods.
- To recruit, mentor, train and manage the Project Management team.
- To create, embed and continuously improve the Project Management Process
You will have
To be successful as the Contract Manager/Operations Manager you will have a background in Construction Site/Project/Operations Management with a healthy mix of the following:
- Commercially awareness.
- CAT B Interiors Fit Out Experience, with circa 10 years of direct knowledge in Project Management, Design Support, Subcon Management, Budget and Programme Delivery.
- Experience of Managing Construction teams, installers, site managers and project managers.
- Site Health & Safety (SMSTS/ IOSH / NEBOSH or similar qualifications).
- Construction Site Management and a working knowledge of the CDM regulations.
- Site Awareness, ideally in a storage or construction setting on projects between £100k -£5M+
- Knowledge of Current Project Management Processes & Software would be beneficial.
- Team Manager / Team Builder / Team Motivator & Change Manager
- Analytical, Experience of IT-driven solutions
- Ability to problem solve in a site context.
