The Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Ventilation Research Manager - ACRV Research Manager, role itself where you will be responsible for the research management and forward direction of ACRV in the WMI department and will support the sales team in achieving sales objectives for ACRV studies.

More specifically:

• To manage the whole publishing process of regular multi-client studies, including: o Preparation of the publication program (according to client needs cost-effectiveness) o Reviewing of the templates to ensure they remain attractive for clients (up to date with market developments and client requirements) o Preparing business plans for projects within the team portfolio and overseeing the preparation of such plans by project managers within the ACRV portfolio o Supporting project managers within the ACRV portfolio in their tasks o Overseeing publication process (choice of internal & external researchers, costing of sub-contractors agreements, roll-out and ongoing tracking of the research process, quality control, release for final publication) o Ensuring that marketing material for projects developed within the team portfolio is done as required o Handle queries of existing and potential clients regarding published reports and data as well as requests for customise studies • To manage private client projects, from the initial negotiation stage to the final delivery with any interim and follow-up discussions, ensuring the top quality of deliverables • Develop new projects in line with market needs and client expectations • Stay in continuous touch with industry stakeholders and clients in order to be informed about the latest market development and develop an attractive portfolio of studies • Play a supportive role for the sales team visiting key accounts on occasions • Organise the work of the ACRV team, managing their workload, professional progression, and training, ensuring their well-being • Attend trade shows and make industry presentations as required by business needs.

This role’s working pattern is 37 hours per week, Mon – Thursday 8.30 am-5.00 pm and on Friday 8.30 am-4.30 pm This is an office-based role with elements of work-related traveling. Informal hybrid working is available after confirmation (3-days in the office, 2-days work from home)

You will have

To be successful as Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Ventilation Research Manager - ACRV Research Manager, you will have a healthy mix of the following:

• Degree in economics, econometrics, statistics, Business studies, or relevant engineering degree • Good working knowledge of Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Ventilation area • Previous extensive experience in market research, preferably in the ACRV area • Understanding of a commercial environment in order to be able to liaise with clients in order to guide the development of the portfolio • Project management skills, practical knowledge of project management methodologies • People management skills of advantage • Perfect knowledge of both spoken and written English and at least one foreign language • Excellent planning and organisational skills • Structured thinking • Good communication skills • Good presentation skills • Report writing skills • Able to work effectively under time pressure • Willingness to travel
